I was watching an interview with a musician I really like and he was talking about having his first child. How over the course of nine months he and his wife saw something come from nothing, then a little more of something, and then completely a baby boy.
I feel like that's how it is when you paint a picture or write a song. You start with nothing, a completely blank canvas. But with every brush stroke, every musical note, you help it develop and grow until finally it's complete, perfect.
That's how God must have felt when he created everything. He said sea and there was sea, he said sky and sky appeared. He breathed wind into our lungs and built us up from the earth. With each and every one of us God started with nothing and breathed life into his perfect masterpieces. I know that sounds super cheesy, but It's something that I've been needing to hear for a long time. That our God, the God of all things, created us, built us up to become perfectly in his own image; and that If we feel inadequate or unfit in anyway, then we just haven't seen the beauty that God has created in us.
This is my favorite of your posts yet. I really love this Dylan.
