Creation

I was watching an interview with a musician I really like and he was talking about having his first child. How over the course of nine months he and his wife saw something come from nothing, then a little more of something, and then completely a baby boy.

I feel like that's how it is when you paint a picture or write a song. You start with nothing, a completely blank canvas. But with every brush stroke, every musical note, you help it develop and grow until finally it's complete, perfect.

That's how God must have felt when he created everything. He said sea and there was sea, he said sky and sky appeared. He breathed wind into our lungs and built us up from the earth. With each and every one of us God started with nothing and breathed life into his perfect masterpieces. I know that sounds super cheesy, but It's something that I've been needing to hear for a long time. That our God, the God of all things, created us, built us up to become perfectly in his own image; and that If we feel inadequate or unfit in anyway, then we just haven't seen the beauty that God has created in us.

Gosh!

So, I've been in this phase were all I listen to is Reliant K. I don't even really like that kind of music.

Worship

God is perfect
like seriously, everything about him is perfect
and when we, his creations
encounter him in times of worship
we fulfill his perfect plan

Thanksgiving

I like the part in the bible where it says to enter into God’s gates with thanksgiving, to leave behind all the burdens that way you down and enter into God’s presence with complete thankfulness. I’ve been trying to maintain a heart of thanksgiving recently, and through it I’ve seen more and more how blessed I am.

I know I’ve heard it a thousand times about how the bride should give all it has to offer to God. But, just recently the idea settled in. God has blessed me, given me his guidance, given me the desires of my heart so that in these things, I can grow in his image and bring glory to him.

He gives me a home, so that I may share it with others. The desire of art, so that I can express my heart of worship. His provision, so that I can go out and do the work that he has planned for me to do.
